Wash N’ Wiggle Pet Service Center is seeking passionate, trustworthy and reliable dog walkers. You must be a true animal lover with a pet care background and have a passion for dogs. This background can include a personal background with pets, dog walking, pet sitting, volunteering in a shelter, or working at a doggy daycare.

We offer an incredible opportunity to spend time with a variety animals on a part-time basis. This is a perfect fit for those who are looking for a second income outside of their primary work, as well as those who want to spend few hours outside each day with fun, energetic work. Dog walking can be a great supplemental income for just the right candidate.

This position is one of the most important positions at Wash N’ Wiggle. Because we are a very professional company you must possess excellent presentation and communication skills. You must recognize that living, breathing animals will be relying on you to be a punctual, organized and competent care giver. If you are looking for quick cash, this is not the job for you. We are not seeking people who are in between jobs and looking for a temporary position.

Job Duties:

The well-being and overall care of our clients’ pets

Managing clients’ needs and preferences with a commitment to providing a superior level of care

Commuting to and from customer homes within a 5-10 miles radius of the Wash N’ Wiggle store location in Morris Plains, NJ

Additional Candidate Requirements:

Prior dog walking, pet experience and pet ownership is preferred.
You must be a resident within a five mile radius of the Wash N’ Wiggle Morris Plains store
Must have your own reliable transportation
Candidates must have excellent work and personal references.
Trustworthiness, common sense, and an ability to follow detailed clients instructions are key criteria to working with us.
Must be dependable. Our clients rely on us and they rely on you. For those who take sick days often this is not the job for you.
Exceptional written and verbal skills to interact with us and our clients
Candidates must be readily able to adapt to and manage an ever-changing schedule. Schedules can change, and often do.
Must be willing to work some holidays. We work 365 days a year.
Candidates must be available to work every day during their assigned days of the week and shift hours
Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes
Must be resistant to inclement weather, including cold, snow, humidity, and rain
Ability to think on your feet under pressure and modify actions accordingly
Available to start work immediately and make a long-term commitment of at least six months
Equipped with a smart phone and working home internet connection with your own email account
